I think we can all agree that it’d be ideal to avoid this hideous mess of ugly, yes?

Here’s how.

1. Create a free blog on WordPress.com. Call it anything you want – it doesn’t matter. It’s just acting as the middle man!
2. In your new WordPress.com blog, import the posts from Blogger, using the built-in importer. Even though it gives the option to just upload the xml file from Blogger, use the built-in importer.
3. After that’s done and you’ve set the authors, export the new blog content into an xml file.
4. Go into your self-hosted wordpress blog and import the xml file you’ve just created. That’s it!

So excited to have launched the new site for The Healthy Foodie! Sonia, the woman behind the blog, has a great personality and sense of humor, creating a unique voice in the niche of food blogs. And, her recipes are pretty dang good.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of the redesign project for her site. Check out the super cute mascot and logo!

So clean, so fresh! Just like her new site. I’m so glad we got a chance to work with Lisa, she was wonderful to work with, her ideas were so different, and her site is a joy to read.

Yesterday, I made a discovery that changed all that. I found CSS3Pie – a script that enables all the fab features of CSS3 in older versions of Internet Explorer. That means flexible, dynamic options for rounded corners, gradients, drop shadows and more with one extra line in your CSS style rule! I know I’m a huge Internet nerd, but that is just exciting stuff. Faster development! Less futzing around with finicky IE.

I’m in love.

To accompany all this extra fun, I also found a great CSS3 generator, for those of us that like shortcuts.

I just wrapped up a new promo image for Catch My Party. It’s a little image Jillian wanted to use on their Facebook page. I gotta say, it came out pretty cute. I love working with CMP! If you’re big on entertaining and want to show off your party planning skills, Catch My Party is definitely the social site for you. I’ve had the pleasure of working on a variety of projects for them, including designing backgrounds for certain party themes.

I really loved how passionate she felt about animals and baking, and how she was so eager to share her vegan dessert recipes. We worked together to create a new logo:

and overall identity for her blog. She had really strong sense of color scheme and ideas, and I’m glad that Valerie and I were able to bring it all together for her.
